Fools Rush In: Getting the Facts with Online Marriage Searches

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

By Tony Cohn So you just got engaged. Congratulations! You are probably headed for a life of love and happiness. Two and a half children, a white picket fence and a golden retriever are surely coming your way. However, be warned future bride or groom, your perfect mate may not be whom he or she says they are and may even already be married! Thus, getting the marital history of your potential spouse through online marriage search services may be the answer for securing a wonderful marriage. Tying the Knot, Making Her an Honest Woman, Gettin Hitched, whatever you may call it, marriage is not a subject that should be taken lightly. Therefore, before you walk down the aisle, it is of utmost importance to know the true marital status of your partner. Scary marital pasts are not just fodder for the movies as many men and women each year are getting married to partners who have numerous unspoken past marriages or are currently still married. Some of these partners even have multiple lives with multiple families. However, no matter how much you love or trust your partner, can you honestly say that you know everything about him or her? Most importantly, how can you tell if they have been completely forthright with their marital history? I am not saying that you should not trust your partner, but you probably need to turn to outside services to truly know your partners marital history. It is widely recognized that pre-employment background checks are a smart idea when hiring new employees. Similar to background checks, online marriage searches can provide you with the necessary information to know if your partner is truly marriage-worthy. Obtaining piece of mind on your future spouse can easily be obtained by using an online marriage search service offered by such organizations as peoplefinders.com. Marriage search companies can provide you with answers to important questions such as: Has my fiance been married before? Is my fiance still married? How old is my fiance? How old was he or she when they first got married? How many times has my fiance been married? Surprisingly, marriage searches are very reasonable and will set you back less than the price of a large pizza. In fact, sites like PeopleFinders.com only charge $9.95 for a marriage search that actually is pretty comprehensive. After your search has been conducted, you can rest assured that your fiance is just who you thought they were the love of your life. Founded in 2006, People Search News is a Sacramento, California based non-commercial online source for people search and people finder related news and information. Reliability of Cell Phone Calls

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kevin_Lynch]Kevin Lynch Cell phone calls are now placed easier than ever with an expectation of reliability and quality during phone calls. When cell phones were first on the market, the technology available was great for a person to make local phone calls under the right conditions. As time passed, the technology was improved to allow for a person to make cell phone calls that are several miles away from each other. Progression furthered to allow for cell phone calls today to be placed all around the world. Cellular phone calls are placed without a second thought today. Even with things called roaming and other obstacles that make cell phone calls an expensive thing to do dont keep people from making contact with others when they want to. Cell phone calls are the main means of communication for many and the reliance on cell phones as the main source of communication continues to grow. Wireless telephone calls are easy, convenient and often inexpensive for local people to place to one another. In fact, some cell phone plans allow for cell phone calls to be made between specific family members of individuals for free. Cell phones calls and the price people pay to make them seem to be on the decline due to the number of cell phone users taking advantage of free talk plans and competitive cellular provider rates. Cellular phone calls are a common thing that most people perform during the course of their day. Placing a cell phone call is just as easy as using a persons home phone and many cell phones provide the same kind of features including call waiting and caller ID. If cell phone calls are something that seems difficult because of the technology involved, the fact in that making cell phone calls is much like making phone calls in the privacy of your own home. Which Alternative Health Techniques Should I Choose?

Monday, January 28th, 2008

By Denice Moffat All forms of healing involve energy of some kind. This energy is actually vibration. If the vibration of the treatment works for our body, the body responds positively. We receive vibrations from many different thingsin treatments, foods, music, medications, supplements, our healing team and how they communicate, body language, the environment, the colors, and even the weather are just a few modalities that influence your bodys acceptance of treatment. Some people prefer energy work and some are afraid of it because it doesnt vibe with their religion. We are all different and all perfect just the way we are. That is what makes the world and each individual so unique and wonderful. Imagine. . .no two of us is the same. Therefore, no one treatment protocol will work for everybody. We all have to find treatments that fit with our values as they are now–at least until we get enough education to be able to expand our perspective. You will have to find the right mix for you. Open your heart and mind and explore the possiblities as they are endless! It seems people come to me and experience my practice when they are ready. They usually have exhausted all other medical treatments. They suddenly find a need to be open to different ideas and new perspectives. When people have never experienced anything in the alternative field, developing compassion and trust on both sides is necessary especially if they are going to try new ideas, treatment protocols and incorporate more positive lifestyle changes. Communication is also a key. What the practitioner says and what the client hears may be totally different, so keeping the lines of communication open with consistent feedback is essential. If there is mental resistance from the client and it’s obvious that you are not the right person for their healing, the practitioner and client must work through it together or transition to a better choice of healing that will work. It is the ethical responsibility of the practitioner to know when to refer and what to augment the treatment process with. It is the clients responsibility to tell the practitioner what they are willing to do and what they arent so that healing can happen. There are so many methods of healing out there, that I dont even know them all. New methods are evolving almost on a daily basis. Three good resources for your library on types of healing methods are: Encyclopedia of Healing Therapies by Anne Woodham and Dr. David Peters Alternative Healthcare: A Comprehensive Guide to Therapies and Remedies Edited by Nikki Bradford (Thunder Bay Press) and The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Healing Remedies by C. Norman Shealy, N.D., Ph.D. Just one suggestion: After many years of exploration, I have learned that there is something good to learn from everybody. Dont throw the baby out with the bath water if you dont vibrate positively with a certain healer. Glean what works for you and move on. Dont be afraid to explore new healing modalities. Shifting and returning to practitioners you have not seen for several years also helps. As you grow, so does your lens of perspective and understanding. What one practitioner says to you today may mean something totally different to you years from now. What you dont understand, put on the Cosmic Bookshelf. Someday it might just make sense when you put it together with other pieces in the puzzle of your health. Communicating with Adult Children

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

By Marge Pickering Picone The time has come to have that unconditional relationship with your grown child. The day has truly arrived that you are no longer mommy and daddy and you become mom and dad. The distance you felt as a young adult trying to communicate with your parents is returning as you search for the best way to talk to your adult children. Everything that you thought they would, should or could be is no longer relevant. Just as times changed between us and our parents, the same is happening to you. We are quickly becoming the older generation. Our adult offspring are quick on the up take to tell us exactly how things should be done to meet their expectations not ours. The best thing I have found over the years is to go back to what the definition of unconditional love means. I loved my child no matter what. I never put conditions on his receiving my love and acknowledgement. I always let him know his boundaries and my reactions to behaviors were based on the incidence and not on whether I would love him or not. Right or wrong you do the best you can and watch for the results. When they know they are loved they learn to give out that same kind of feeling in return. When you learn to respect their boundaries and choices and stop trying to make them do it your way, youve earned the respect of your adult children. They really let you into their lives. Sometimes, more then you want or need to be. To keep your sanity, keep in mind that what the over 21 adult child does, is none of your business. You are no longer responsible for their actions. They now handle the consequences of their own choices themselves. I know you think it is easier to butt in and try to fix everything they get themselves into only to resent it in the long run. You get them obligated to you and then guilt becomes a tool. That is not helping your relationship. If they call needing help, listen and then tell them you will call back to answer their request. Think about whether you are willing, wont resent or regret whatever decision you make. If you dont want to help, say this is not something I can do for you right now but I am willing to do .(fill in the blank) Otherwise, stay out of it! Always take time to think it over and call back. Much easier to get over guilt then resentment. They are grown adults. Did you expect your parents to help you? Not something our generation typically experienced yet, we have created ourselves to be indispensable in our childrens lives. Learn to listen and close your mouth. Sometimes like us, they just need to say what the problem is out loud in order to figure out how to fix it themselves. The smart children we produced will definitely let you take it on if you offer. Dont talk, just listen and offer moral, verbal support and absolutely promote that they know how to handle it themselves. You have loads of confidence in their abilities and youve seen them in action many times. They may experience rough patches but havent we all! They will learn and grow by their experiences, just as we have. Give them that opportunity and you will be proud. Pay attention to your own life and learn what mid life is about. Start revising and upgrading your existence and re-learn the meaning of JOY and FUN! Keep your relationship open with your adult children and learn to treat and enjoy them as equals. Some day you may need them to handle things for you! Shoot for independence not dependence. They are not babies anymore! The All New Miracle Diet

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

By Paul T. Hopkins With all the hype on how people have lost 20, 30, or 40 lbs. in a month, how can you tell which one is best for you? The truth is that all of these diets are no miracle. Most of these diets are based on the quick results principal. Or in other words, get results now. However, have you learned anything on the long term effects of these diets? Probably not. Truth is that the health and fitness industry can be very similar to the make money schemes. Think of dieting as a money making scheme. Sure you can make $300/ a day, but what is involved in making that money. Truth here is that there are many other factors involved in making the money then will be disclosed to you. In fact, you may make no money at all. The dieting game is no different. Sure you can lose 30 lbs. a month. However, there are many factors to consider here. Some of which can be detrimental to your overall health, and health is the main goal right? For example, there are more ways in which you lose weight than just losing fat alone. You can lose weight from water loss in the body, loss of bone mass, muscular catabolism ( muscle loss), and also adipose tissue (fat). There are some others also. Knowing this, now consider which diet actually causes you to lose body fat and not the others. Most likely you have entered a gray area here. This is what the dieting gurus do not want you to know about. In fact most diets will cause you to lose weight through water loss and muscular catabolism ( muscle loss). Going back to being healthier, you have just strayed from your overall goal. More to come later. How to Get a Flat Stomach

Friday, January 25th, 2008

By Paul Turner I can show you how to get a flat stomach with the minimal of effort. You need to make some consistent effort, but it wont be too bad, I promise. Im going to give you 5 ways to lose 1 inch from your stomach. 1. Swim. Swimming doesnt actually burn as many calories as jogging, but because its easier due to being suspended in water you can go for longer and burn more calories that way. If you swim everyday for 30 minutes you should lose about 1 inch from your stomach in six weeks. 2. Hold the press ups. Not only will your chest muscles benefit, but hold a press up for thirty seconds and will help flatten your stomach. Do 3 sets of 30 press ups a day and youll lose an inch off your waist. 3. Nice and easy east a bigger breakfast! Making breakfast the biggest meal of the day can cut your overall intake of calories by 10%. That means that in 8 weeks youll see the benefit 1 inch from your stomach and looser jeans! 4. If you go to the gym try a Nordic skiing machine. Just 16 minutes on this can burn 200 calories. In just 30 mins a day for 5 weeks and a 1 inch loss will be your reward. 5. Walk it off. Research shows that you can lose weight up to four times quicker by taking light exercise in short bursts daily. Walking briskly for approx 20 minutes twice per day should melt one inch from your waist in about two months. Hopefully you will agree that these are fairly simply ways to lose weight. If you are serious you can mix and match to burn off more than one inch, but be careful not to lose weight too quickly. If you are serious about getting a flat stomach, why not get this free course. It comes from a body builder (ever seen a fat body builder?) There are no cathes, just great information on how to lose weight the healthy way. http://www.thinneryou.co.uk Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Paul_Turner http://EzineArticles.com/?How-to-Get-a-Flat-Stomach&id=403976 viagra no prescription next day air where in united kingdom can i buy viagra cheap viagra in the uk cheap order sildenafil

Squelch Some Cell Phone Myths

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kathryn_Lang]Kathryn Lang Cell phones are dangerous to use. All of the hype of the myths surrounding cell phones would not only have you believing this, but it would have you burying your cell phones in the back yard just to be on the safe side. Before you get the shovel, consider these few facts. Using a cell phone while pumping gas will not cause a spark that would blow up the gas tanks. This is a myth. Although static electricity can produce a sufficient enough spark to cause the gas to ignite, it just does not come from the cell phone. Feel free to chat away while you fill up. Its been said that driving while using a cell phone is just a dangerous as driving under the influence of alcohol. There have many tests conducted that have proven this out. Any one that has encountered a distracted cell phone driver knows it is true. Most just dont think it actually refers to them. Reaction times while on the cell phone decrease dramatically and needed attention is distracted from the road. If you have to talk while you are in your car, take the time to pull off the road (youll also ensure that you wont drop the call that way). People have been killed in hospitals because of cell phone calls. This is just not true. When the technology first arrived in the mainstream, many hospitals and clinics responded with bans on the cell phones. Slowly, those bans have begun to lift. It may not effect the medical equipment when using cell phones in hospitals, but it may affect communications (if that hospital uses the same service calls could be crossed). To be on the safe side, always follow the rules and regulations set up by each hospital. This is only the tip of the iceberg. A quick scan of the internet and of myth busting sites reveals pages of cell phone myths and legends. Before reacting, always do a little research. Until you know for sure if its real or just a myth, play it on the safe side. Kathy Lang is a freelance writer specialising in modern technology. Sony Ericsson W810i - When Good Gets Bettered

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Adam_Jaylin]Adam Jaylin Well, the Walkman series seems to be gaining momentum and emerging stronger day by day. Sony Ericsson W800i was an outstanding mobile phone in its category which swayed consumers to its tunes and rhythms. The news is Sony Ericsson W810i has been launched in the market as an upgrade to W800i. Even if Sony Ericsson W810i does not look like a heavily modified handset from its predecessor, it augurs good times ahead. Maintaining all the striking features of W800i, this device has improved upon a few areas. Now, this is a GSM Quadband phone implying global roaming with modified keypad layout for multimedia playback and EDGE to make quick Internet access. Sony Ericsson W810i has maintained the same screen display which one feels could have been bettered. Light and compact, it has managed to host good number of utility features which look an even more impressive feat with a talk time of up to 8 h. 2 megapixels camera renders a pleasant effect on all the photography enthusiasts and at the same time makes sure you are never caught without a camera in those fleeting moments. Sony Ericsson W810i has been equipped fully to live up to the branding of Walkman phones. These include memory upgrade provision, integrated media player and Disc2phone software which empowers users to transfer their favourite tracks from CDs to the handset. Data transfer/connectivity is a fully loaded department in terms of options. Though it lacks WLAN and 3G technology, [http://www.ukonlinemarket.co.uk/mobile/Phone_Deal.asp?Ph=Sony--Ericsson--W810i]Sony Ericsson W810i never intended to be a handset bloating on top of its technical specifications. The Dangers of Pesticides

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

By L A Parmley DDT (dichloro-diphenyl-trichloro-ethane) is one pesticide that has been unquestionably labeled hazardous to our health. It has been linked to cancer and is actually banned from all use in America now. DDT was widely used in the 1960s. It’s all-time peak came in 1963 when 61 million pounds of DDT were sprayed across the U.S. The first major opposition to the spraying of DDT came with Rachel Carsons well-known book, Silent Spring in 1962. By 1968, many states had decided to ban the use of the pesticide. By 1972, the government had banned all use of it in the U.S. Today, the U.S. does not produce or supply DDT. Other regions of the world like Africa, Central and South America still spray DDT and compounds derived from it to help control diseases spread by insects, such as malaria. Since some of our food is imported from countries still using the pesticide, the FDA monitors imported foods for traces of DDT and other hazardous substances. Just whats so bad about DDT? If a farmer sprays DDT on his crops, eventually, a rodent eats one of the DDT covered plants. The DDT is then stored in the fatty tissues of the rodent. Maybe a bird catches and eats the rodent. The DDT comes with the package and is stored in the fat of the bird. The same bird also eats a fish from a nearby creek; one that contains runoff from the farmers crops, and unfortunately DDT. Now all the DDT from the fish is also stored within the bird. The bird is caught and eaten by a female human. All the DDT from the plant, the rodent, bird and fish is stored in her fatty tissue. The woman has a baby and one of the mothers first gifts to it is a portion of her DDT. Throughout the son or daughters life, even more DDT will accumulate as he or she continues to ingest contaminated foods. Since it is a carcinogen, the individual may have a greater chance of developing cancer. Remember, DDT is extremely persistent so even though we dont spray it now, it was sprayed all over the country for about three decades and is definitely still around. DDT is not the only pesticide that causes problems. Several others are made from compounds that are derived from it and are known to be carcinogic as well. Examples of these are malathion and diazinon. Both are highly toxic. Fortunately, they break down very quickly in the environment to form nontoxic compounds. Carbamates are another group of pesticides which are presumably not-carcinogenic, but still pose dangers to our health. Please take the time to review more cancer prevention articles at Cancer Prevention Report.com Our health is our most precious asset. What Are the Symptoms of Autism?

Sunday, January 20th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ron_Keegan] Ron Keegan Diagnosing autism is a very subjective process, though the DSM IV lists specific criteria that must be met for a formal diagnosis of autism. Autism is diagnosed when a child meets A) at least six items on the following criteria, with at least two from the first set, and at least one each from the second and third. The criteria are: 1.) impairment of social functioning in one of the following ways a. impairment in using eye-to-eye contact, facial expression, body posture and gestures to regulate social interaction :: The child may fail to make eye contact when speaking, or openly resist making eye contact when you attempt to engage their gaze. Their facial expressions may be inappropriate to the conversation, or unchanging. They don’t display ‘normal’ body language and gestures. b. does not develop peer relationships appropriate to age:: Your child may not seem to ‘fit’ with the other kids in a playgroup. If the other children are playing together and sharing toys, he may be the one sitting in the middle of the group oblivious to them while he pursues his own interests. He doesn’t engage in the same type of mirroring, parallel play or interaction as other children his age. c. does not spontaneously seek to share enjoyment, interests or achievements with others :: The child doesn’t bring toys to other people to show them, or point out things that are interesting to them. By age 2, most children are trying to share their interests with parents and those around them. When a child never does, it’s cause for concern.:: d. ‘lack of social or emotional recipricocity’ (described as ‘not participating in social activities or games, preferring solitary activities or involving others in activities only as tools or mechanical aids) :: The child doesn’t engage in social give and take. This one can be confusing - especially the part about using others as ‘tools’ or ‘mechanical aids’. An example may be the child who sits in your lap and rocks without seeming to acknowledge that you exist other than as a seat.:: 2.) Impairments in communication characterized by:a) delay in or total absence of spoken speech without an attempt to compensate by using gestures or signals. b) in children with speech, the inability to initiate or sustain a conversation with others. c) stereotyped or repetitive use of language such as echoing words spoken by others or repeating words or phrases compulsively d) lack of imaginative play or social play that imitates others 3.) restricted stereotyped and repetitive behavior, interests and activities, characterized by: a. an abnormal preoccupation with one or more area of interest b. inflexible insistence on certain rituals or routines c. stereotyped or repetitive gestures or motions (e.g. hand-flapping, finger flapping, rocking, twisting) that may involve the entire body, or just one part of it. d. Persistent preoccupation with parts of objects B) Delays or abnormal functioning in one or more of the following: 1.) Social interaction 2.) Language for communication 3.) Symbolic or imaginary play C) The condition doesn’t fit Rett’s syndrome or Childhood Disintegrative Disorder There’s no doubt that the topic of autism symptoms can be fascinating.
