Special People Who Show Up During the Second Coming of Christ

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

By Michael Bresciani Question Is the women of Revelation 12:lf a depiction of Mary the mother of Jesus? Answer No. With the exception of Catholics the general interpretation of this chapter is that the woman represents the nation of Israel, the twelve stars are the twelve tribes of Israel, and the man child is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible offers no queen of heaven only an omnipotent God who is father to the redeemed, one prince to occupy the throne, who is the Lord Jesus Christ, and one Spirit by which we are all made one in the believing church of Jesus Christ. I am convinced, that if we could hear Mary the Mother of Jesus speaking to us today about all the divine attachments and attributes that we have laid on her, she would probably reply with a simple, cut it out! The only other mother that might come in as a close second to Mary for receiving unearned accolades would he Mother Nature. But no mother has ever been sent to be the propitiation for our sins. It behooves us to stay focused in this troubled time. Handing over divine attributes to someone who probably only wants to rest like everyone else is not considered focusing. The last days are not a time for unfounded fodder, fickle phantasms, and far fetched fluff. Question Who are the one hundred and forty four thousand people who receive a special mark on them in Revelation 7:3-4? Answer It has always puzzled me over the years that so many people have asked this question. The passage clearly says who these people are. They are twelve thousand Jews from each of the twelve tribes of Israel who are marked, preserved and protected and probably mightily used during the last three and one half years of the antichrists reign of terror. Perhaps what people are really unsure about is why these people are sealed rather than who they are. They are Jewish people who some people think may be supernaturally converted to Christ at the resurrection of the two prophets in Revelation chapter eleven. Since some Christians have never been taught why they are converted they have appointed some special function to them for the last days. That function although not clearly outlined is thought to he the preaching of the gospel during the last few years of the antichrists rule. The Bible does not actually outline a specific purpose for them as it is commonly taught but it does, however, give a specific reason for their lives being preserved. That reason is the keeping of a promise that God gave to them repeatedly over the centuries. The promise is that he would save a remnant of them (the Jews) for himself. After centuries of chastisement for missing the time of their visitation God will look with favor on the Jews and pull out a remnant for his own name. Luke 19:44. Isa. 10:21f. I am glad that God keeps his promises and I am also glad that these people who have suffered so severely will finally see their Savior and enjoy the rewards of serving him in one of the highest places in the entire scheme of things. Mobiles Wooing Kids In UK

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Adam_Jaylin]Adam Jaylin In the festive season a lot of teenagers and pre-teen kids are expecting their parents to gift them their favourite gizmo. For few of them it can be the latest gaming console but for most of them it is the latest mobile phone. A study by Halifax, a respected UK Bank, about the spending and saving habits of children in UK has confirmed the obvious; mobiles have replaced cars, toys & dolls as the favoured toy of kids across all age groups. The study states, in the age group of 7-11 57% children own a mobile. As they grow their affection for this device spiral up dramatically and in the 12-16 age group mobile phone ownership goes up to 94%! I wasnt surprised at all when I also read that all this is funded by their parents whose threshold for indulging their children is increasing with each passing day. In 2006, 40% parents took care of the mobile phone bills of their wards. This number was down by 7% last year, one more reason for kids to stay glued to their mobile phones. But the most interesting aspect of the survey was that most kids have a PrePay or pay as you go (PAYG) sim in their mobile phones. The survey declared that 79% children had gone for pay as you go tariff plans and very few parents allow their kids to avail a contract mobile phone. As one moves up in the age group the number of kids with a contract phone, instead of a [http://www.ukonlinemarket.co.uk/payasyougo.asp]PAYG phone, goes up, for the simple reason that kids of that age are deemed more responsible. With a pay as you go mobile phone in their kids pocket the parent of the child can breathe easy both ways. First they will always be connected with the child through the mobile phones and will also be able to keep the phone bill in check via the PAYG tariff. This way the kids get what they want the most, a mere mobile phone but parents get what they always desired, peace of mind! Beware of Predatory Lending

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Christine_Carter]Christine Carter Shockingly, federal law does not define predatory lending. When it comes to protection from abusive lenders, don’t count on your good old Uncle Sam for help. Nope. You’re own your own in that department. It’s you versus the mega-bankers in the dog-eat-dog financial arena. Sadly, in that environment with no protective rules, it’s the big dog that almost always wins. The best way not to lose that fight is to get informed. Know the big dog’s tactics and protect yourself from them in advance. Here are three tactics that I’ve seen that fall within my definition of predatory lending: 1. Automatic Refinancing. There are lenders who are providing a valuable resource with automatic refinancing, and there are lenders who are taking advantage of borrowers through automatic refinancing. In principle, automatic refinancing is a great service to the borrower; the lender continually monitors interest rates and will automatically refinance the loan for the borrower if rates drop enough to make the refinance worthwhile. The problem arises in the definition of worthwhile. It is not a secret that lenders charge fees every time they process a mortgage loan. Sometimes these fees are paid for by the borrower at loan closing, other times these fees are added to the outstanding balance of the loan: the fees are financed. It is those fees that can get very expensive. Suppose you have a mortgage with an outstanding balance of $200,000. Your lender has monitored interest rates and informs you that rates have dropped almost 1/2 percentage point and you could save $20 per month by refinancing. Let’s further say that you will not have to pay anything at loan closing, the fees can be added to the loan. Just come into the office and sign the papers. On first look, this seems like a good deal to you. However, the fees that are added to your loan can be substantial. How many points are you paying? What other fees are being added? What will your new loan balance be? In this example, it is likely to be around $206,000. Automatically refinance like this a few times each year, and your loan balance could increase as fast or faster than your home appreciates. When you sell your home in a few years, you could end up getting back less than your down payment. All the appreciation would have been eaten by the fees every time you refinanced. In this example, the lender pocketed thousands and thousands of dollars in fees, and you lost much of your equity. Beware. 2. Packing Extras Into The Loan. Would you buy a car from a dealer that tried to sell you tires at 4 times the going price? It is doubtful. Yet, thousands of people each day do the financial equivalent by refinancing their mortgage with a lender that tries to sell them insurance at 4 times the going rate or even more. Credit life insurance, or loan life insurance, or any other name that unscrupulous lenders dream up is nothing more than a simple term life insurance policy. Don’t let lenders talk you into an insurance policy associated with your mortgage loan if that same policy can be purchased separately for 1/4th the cost. Usually, lenders that try to foist this overpriced policy on borrowers will offer it at the time of loan closing. This is done on purpose so that the borrower can’t comparison shop. You should ALWAYS shop for price comparisons. 3. Charging Excessive Fees. We’ve covered excessive fees somewhat in the first item. However, excessive fees can be applied to any fee associated with a mortgage loan. Let’s say the average national APR for a fixed, 30-year mortgage on the day you apply is 6.34% with one point. You find a lender that is offering 6.20% with one and a half points. Turning to your handy mortgage calculator, you find your payments will be less with the loan from the latter. What the mortgage calculator cannot tell you is that the latter loan is likely going to be much more expensive. Lenders that offer below market rates as teasers are not doing it out of the kindness of their heart. You can bet they will try to get a profit in some other way. In the instance just described, appraisal fees, attorney fees, loan processing fees, documentation fees, credit report fees, and more can all be inflated to cover the cost of the lower interest rate. Additionally, a prepayment penalty can be included in the fine print giving the lender even more profit when you sell your home or refinance. Borrower beware. Christine Carter is a widely recognized mortgage refinancing expert. Through her website http://e-z-mortgage-refinancing.com she has helped countless numbers of borrowers get the best loan offer available on both purchase and refinance loans. WHAT Dose GSM - Lock & Unlock Mean

Friday, March 7th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Victor_Epand]Victor Epand The term GSM means - Global System for Mobile Communications. It is the most popular standard for mobile phones in the world. GSM differs significantly from its predecessors in that both signaling and speech channels are Digital call quality, which means that it is considered a second generation (2G) mobile phone system. GSM is an open standard which is currently developed by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). From the point of view of the consumer, the key advantage of GSM systems has been higher digital voice quality and low cost alternatives to making calls such as text messaging. The advantage for network operators has been the ability to deploy equipment from different vendors because the open standard allows easy inter-operability. Like other cellular standards GSM allows network operators to offer roaming services which mean subscribers can use their phones all over the world. To help you further understand, GSM is simply a standard used by phones to communicate with each other. It is a new standard that has been adopted to all new models of phones and is now so prevailant that it has become the ‘norm’ in the phone world. Now to answer your other question, with respect to locked and unlocked phones. A phone is locked when it is attached to network. For example if you go to AT&T and purchase a phone from them then that phone is said to be locked unto the AT&T network and as such it cannot work on another network such as SPRINT or NEXTEL. Thus an unlocked phone is a phone that is bought, that is not locked to any network. And as such it can work on any network. The network it will lock unto will depend on the SIM card you put into the phone. For example if you put a AT&T sim in an unlocked phone then it will work on the AT&T network. In the same way if you put a NEXTEL SIM card in an unlocked phone then it will work on the NEXTEL network. However if the phone is locked to a particular network, like say for example AT&T then changing the SIM card in the phone to another SIM card from another network such as NEXTEL will not work. This is because the phone is locked unto to AT&T network and as such will not work on any other network. Yes, you can use the prepaid SIM card on the phone once the phone is either unlocked or on the same network as the SIM card you are going to put into it. It should work just fine. Unfortunatly is isn’t possible to have more than one phone on the same line. It is possible to have more to than one phone on the same account, in fact, some providers will allow many many lines on one account. The reason why your unable to do this is that your phone has a ESN (electronic serial number) that assoicated with that line. What this does is allow your network to send the calls to your phone. If there is more then one ESN per line then it will cause problems receiving calls. For example, I had a phone that i wasnt using anymore when i bought a new one, well my old phone was recieving text messages that my new one was supposed to get, but the new one would get all the calls. To resolve the issue that had to erase the programming on the phone. Do Your Kids Know How To Ace an Exam?

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

By H. Bernard Wechsler How The Elite 5% Ace Exams When you take an important exam - do you read your test questions and text material three times, or are you happy to complete it once? The answer for 95% of us is we are lucky to read the exam once. Two medical doctors came to us about the problem they were havingpassing their medical boards to practice in the U.S. They were old friendswho grew up in Iran, practiced medicine there for about 15 years, anddecided to emigrate to the U.S. to join their family. After two failures they panicked and sought help. They explained that both understood English and had graduated frommedical schools in the U.S. It was not the answers to medical questionsthat cause the problem, but not having time to complete the last one-thirdof the exam. The Strategy Both doctors spent the entire weekend with us learning speed readingstrategies. By the end of day-1, both physicians had doubled their readingspeed, without any loss of comprehension. After they completed the second days six hours, both were reading three-times faster than their original starting speed, and their comprehension had improved about 10%. It is irrelevant that they doubled their memory. The Test Speed readers take a test differently than the other 95%, you might want tocompare their approach to your own. Skimming the first bite at the apple Skimming is the fastest form of reading both the questions and the text. It is an overview searching for the Topical Sentences the core ideas of the text, and discovering the locations of the answers to the questions. If we have a general idea of which sections of the text contain the answers, we will find the specific answers on our next perusal because we have two more bites at the apple. The skimming strategy contains two elements reading each sentence in whatwe call Single-Chunking/Diagonal: indenting a few words both left-and-right, and focusing on the 80% of the middle, and secondly, moving our eyes Diagonally fromthe end of one-sentence, to the beginning of the succeeding sentence. It is easier to physically skim the sentences on a page, moving both lineallyand vertically, than it is to explain how - using words. Where are your eyes focusing? We strongly recommend you use a pen to act as a pacer and underline (without the pointer marking the page), the sentences, as you move quicklydown the pages. Your eyes pay no attention to the underlining pen, but focus on the center of thewords of the sentences. You move your eyes (and head), left-to-right across thefirst sentences, and right-to-left (toward the beginning), of the following sentence). We call it single-chunking/diagonal because you are visually grouping 80% of each sentence in one single eye-fixation. Compare this to the average college graduate who stops and mentally hears in his/her mind each-and-every-word in the sentence. If there is an average of ten words in a sentence non-speed readers will makeeight-to-ten eye-fixation pauses. Chunking is choosing to see words in groups, sections and phrases. Skimming is flying across and down the sentences at up to 650 words per minute.Put that into prospective by realizing the average college graduate reads at about200 words per minute, with a 60% recall. When you have finished skimming (your first reading), you have grasped the key ideas and some important details contained in the text. You have a good idea of the location in the text of many of the answers to the exam questions you are focused on. You even have time to jot down a few notes about what you finished skimming. Scanning This second reading is slower than skimming, but is similar in strategy. We call it Double-Chunking/Diagonal, because you are grouping the wordsof each sentence into two-separate clauses. If there is an average of ten words in a sentence, you physically divide thesentence into two chunks - of five-words each. Remember, you always use your pen as a pacer by underlining the sentence, and move left-to-right across the sentence, and return to the succeedingsentence, moving right-to-left. This is your second view of both the questions and the text, and you willfind that much of the material seems very familiar to you. You job this timeis to jot down more of the answers, and check off where other answers arelocated in the material. Screening Your third reading is the slowest of all, and is known as Triple-Chunking/Diagonal.Keep using your pen as a pacer to underlining the sentences you read, and keepyour eyes centered on the words of each paragraph. Triple-Chunking/Diagonal means you are dividing (sectioning), each sentenceinto three-phrases, as you move horizontally and vertically down the page. Now, reading is easy because the material is so familiar, and finding the answersafter your third reading of the questions is a snap. You can almost go immediatelyto the location in the text where the answers are found. Remember, screening is seeing each sentence as three separate clauses or sections, and moving diagonally from the last chunk of each sentence, right-to-left to thebeginning of the next sentence. You continue this strategy down the paragraphs. Endwords What have you accomplished? You have read with a purpose and strong concentration the questions and text of the exam three-times. It has taken you the same amount of time to speed read the test three-times,while non-speed readers are still trying to complete and answer the exam once. Do you have to be an academic genius to conclude that skimming-scanning-screening the questions and text three-times, is a far better strategy than readingit only once? Over one million graduates of speed reading have used this system to Ace theirexams, courses and degrees. It works for them; it will absolutely work to improveyour scores and self-confidence. The secret of Skimming-Scanning-Screening is getting in the flow (your zone),and expect and know you are in control of the exam. You will be readinga minimum of three-times faster than your peers, with better comprehension andlong-term memory. You will do so well with this strategy, if will feel unfair.Do it anyway, you deserve to succeed. By the way, those two Iranian doctors did in fact ace their medical boards, and are presently practicing in New York City. See ya, copyright 2006 H. The Pleasure In Hearing Audio Books

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

By Veronica ODea Do you enjoy reading books? I certainly do and have loved doing so since I was little more than a toddler. These days, however, finding the time to enjoy my hobby has been increasingly difficult. You can probably identify with me, in that our lives are so frenetic, that the luxury of sitting down to read a good yarn has all but disappeared. Recently I discovered audio books and what a difference these books have made to my day. I am currently listening to a self help motivational book whenever I am driving the car, even if I’m just off to the local store to get a few supplies. When I have longer waiting time I use my mp3 player. onto which I have downloaded some superb books. The other day I needed to go to the doctor. I knew I was in for a long wait as at that surgery they are always behind with appointments. I took my mp3 player with me and began listening to “100 PROMISES TO MY BABY” by Mallika Chopra, wife of the renowned Dr Deepak Chopra. What an inspiring experience this book is. Here’s a little quotation from it. I promise to love you with no conditions. I promise to try to teach you through example, not words. I promise to help you develop a love for your culture and heritage. I promise to show you that there are infinite possibilities in every moment. I promise to help you see and develop your unique talents. 100 Promises to My Baby is a gift - a covenant with her child that reflected her own deepening awareness of the sacred responsibilities of parenthood. Here the author shares the vows she made to help her child grow up feeling cherished and secure, look at the world with wonder and curiosity, and learn spiritual values that would enrich her own life and contribute to making the world a better place. This audio will inspire listeners to think about their own lives, values, and beliefs, and what they would like to pass on to their children. Believe me, it certainly does that, because the promises she makes to her baby are promises that we can all make to everyone in our lives. I am finding audio books to be a way to stimulate my thinking, and to take my mind of petty problems and issues. I really think I am becoming a better person from getting intellectual and imagination stimulation from hearing these books. The site I use to download these books is www.myfavouriteaudiobooks.com. They have a 15% discount going this month. I know there is a book there just for you. I’m not psychic…it’s just that there are about 7000 titles to choose from so anyone would have to be impossible to please to not find one they like. Go there now and find the special audio book that is perfect for you. Veronica ODea lives in South Australia. How Do You Tell Him/Her They Are Not The One?

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

By Toni Coleman You met online and had a great email exchange for a week. Then you called her and the two of you really clicked. You (mentally) built up the potential for a real relationship with her as you agreed to get together for that first date. The day came, you met for lunch, and it went downhill from there. She looked different than you had expected or remembered, the conversation felt strained and/or you were uncomfortable and anxious to get it over with. As the date came to a close and she told you she had a nice time, you were at a loss for words. What should you have said? After all, you didnt want to hurt her feelings. This scenario plays itself out frequently in the meeting and dating world. Boy meets girl in cyber space, on a chance encounter or perhaps through mutual friends. Both people have an interest in going out and getting to know each other. However, after one or more dates, one individual feels good about their connection and the other decides the chemistry just isnt right. When this happens, the person who is not interested in pursuing the relationship is left to make a choice of how (if) to tell the other person that they are not the one. Let me begin with a list of (all too common) examples that illustrate what you should never do: Say you had a good time and that you will call her later- then never call. Tell him you had a good time but will be very busy for a few weeks and will email when your schedule allows. Make tentative plans for later in the week, but never call and/or respond to phone messages or emails. Agree to a date next week and then not call or show up as planned. You may now be thinking, OK, so if I dont use one of the above, what can I do to avoid being hurtful and/or having to potentially deal with an unpleasant scene? The short answer is that there is no right way to let someone down and avoid the painful feelings and emotional fallout that come with rejection. The reality is that someone will be hurt and disappointed. This is the risk we assume when we open ourselves up to new relationship possibilities. However, you can make the rejection less painful and a little easier on both of you when you are gently honest and avoid offering false hope and/or giving mixed messages. The following examples are things you should do: Make the lack of a right connection between the two of you THE issue. This means dont point out things that are WRONG with him/her as the reasons for your lack of interest. Emphasize the importance for both of you to find that right person to build a relationship with. Avoid any mixed messages such as, I am very attracted to you and think we could have something special, but I just have too much going on in my life right now Be clear that you will not change your mind, become available at a later time or develop an interest if the other person changes themselves to better suit your needs and wants. Allow the other person to ask questions and express their feelings. Then answer their questions honestly as this will help them to feel respected, know they have been heard and to get closure, which will allow them to move on more easily. Most of all think about how YOU would want to be treated if the situation were reversed. Would you want to be lied to and led on? Not only would you be wasting your time, you would also be at risk of developing a false belief that there is something wrong with you that causes you to be undesirable and/or unable to form and sustain a healthy, intimate relationship. The Russian Marriage Agency From Hell

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

By John Kunkle If she does not speak English, you can usually arrange through the local marriage agency to have a translator on the call. This may cost you ten to twenty dollars per hour, but at least you will be able to converse with each other. Other resources are local universities that have university students who are studying English. Usually their services can be arranged fairly inexpensively. I used translation services from the marriage agencies a few times with widely varying results. One of the worst was an agency in Polatsk, Belarus. This was, hands down, the worst marriage agency I ever encountered. It was the agency run by Olga Narkevich. The young girl who did the translating was an English student. She did her best, but she could barely speak English. She could only remember about five to ten words at a time before she had to do a data dump and translate. Sometimes this was in the middle of a sentence and it was difficult, if not impossible, to get anything but the simplest concepts translated. The basic message got through, but a conversation that should have taken fifteen minutes took over two hours. On top of that, the phone connection was so bad, we were both screaming at each other on the phone to be heard. The telephone system in the CIS countries is about fifty years behind the telephone system in the West. I have noticed that in the winter, particularly, the quality of the phone lines suffer dramatically. This is probably due to the extreme cold. I found myself feeling more and more upset by the act of screaming into the phone, even though no words were said to make me angry. My frustration with the slow pace of the translation added to that feeling. When I hung up, I was drenched in sweat and ornery enough to take on a biker gang. To understand why I ranked this marriage agency as the worst that I encountered, you need to hear the rest of the story. At first, my telephone conversations took place between a Russian woman who was a client of Olgas and myself. At some point in the translated conversation, it was obvious that Olga had inserted herself. I was peppered with questions about my income and other personal questions. In addition, pressure was being applied for me to use their service in Belarus at what I thought was a ridiculous usurious rate. For example, the translator asked if I would like to come to Polatsk to meet the woman who I was conversing with. I answered that that would be nice. The translator then said that they would send a driver to pick me up at the train station in Minsk. Polatsk is about a two-hour drive north from Minsk. I inquired about the fee, which the translator said would be about $200.00. I told them I would take the train to Polatsk by myself. The translator then asked, How will we recognize you at the train station? I described myself. The translator responded, Why dont you carry an American flag so we can identify you? I responded dryly, Of course. And I will be singing God Bless America, as I march through the train station, waving the flag. As an aside, I found a pair of boxer shorts made out of the same material and in the same pattern as the American flag. I brought them with me on my trip. I was going to wave them as I made my way through the train station in Polatsk. The translator said that they would take care of all hotel reservations, meals, and other arrangements. I asked how much. After consulting Olga in Russian, she replied to me, About one thousand dollars per day. I said, Congratulations, Polatsk has become the most expensive city in the world in which to visit. I asked the translator, How could I possibly spend one thousand dollars in a day in a country where the average income is one hundred dollars per month? After conversing with Olga in Russian again, the translator answered, You may want to go boar hunting. Her response was so hilarious to me, I burst out laughing. I said to her that the only thing I was there to hunt was for a delightful woman to become my wife. I thought to myself, And the only thing I was likely to shoot is a greedy, unethical, evil owner of a marriage agency. Needless to say, I declined their offer. My only reason for going to Polotsk was for the benefit of the woman I was to meet. I had already made my mind up about Olga. After my laborious conversations with the translator, you can imagine how I felt when I called up Olgas agency on my way through Belarus, and Olga was able to converse with me in perfect English. She had put me through hours of tedium to train her translator at twenty dollars per hour, plus the cost of the telephone calls, while she could have spoken to me without problem in perfect English in a fraction of the time. It was with a certain delight that I told Olga that I would not be stopping in Polatsk. The thought that Olga was imagining bags of money flying away brought joy to my heart. I felt sorry for the woman I was to visit in Polatsk. I had fallen in love with my future wife and that was that. She was the one. I knew it as soon as I met her. By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Philip_Mould]Philip Mould We all have unlimited desires, dreams and needs to keep ourselves happy and content as the life goes on. All these requirements and desires are also known as personal needs. Sometimes, we do feel that our financial capabilities are not allowing us to fulfil our personal needs. In those trying times, we can opt for personal loans. As the generic term personal suggests, personal loans are designed to cater to your multiple financial needs. Further, personal loans divide into secured personal loans and unsecured personal loans. Secured personal loans: If a borrower is looking for a loan option, which is easy on his pocket and comes with some easier repayment options, he can opt for a secured personal loan. The main benefits attached with this loan option are longer repayment period, low interest rate, and flexibility in terms and conditions. However, these loans come after pledging a security against the loan amount. This security can be a borrowers property or home. Involvement of security makes it a risk free venture for a lender as he gets the authority to repossess the property or home of a borrower, if he doesnt refund the whole loan amount. Unsecured personal loans: There are no obligations in unsecured personal loans as far as a borrower is concerned. Here a borrower procures the loan amount without offering any collateral against it. It seems quite an easier option for a borrower, but a lender does consider a borrowers bank balance and credit score before providing the loan amount. However, these loans come with such alluring benefits, but a lender does charge high rate of interest and allows shorter repayment period as there is no collateral involved in unsecured personal loans. Procuring personal loans is quite an easier task, but a borrower can get some additional benefits such as a [http://www.chance4finance.co.uk/personal-loans.htmltarget=_blank]loan amount with comparatively lesser interest rates, if he does a thorough research.
